Kate Bolton

Kate has been a Nurse for 25 years, she has spent the last 12 years working in senior nursing roles both in the UK and in New Zealand. Her experience includes working as a Community Specialist Practitioner (Health Visitor) ensuring children under 5, stay safe; healthy and enjoy and achieve to their full potential. Recently Kate spent 4 years as Clinical Leader of Nelson and Marlborough Plunket.


Kate has considerable experience in serving in many roles which have resulted in enhanced information sharing and a multiagency approach to supporting our most vulnerable. She was one of the founding members of SCI and an original presenter at our seminars.


Kate had to return to the UK at the end of 2013, and is now providing an international perspective on best practice models and resources. Kate is currently working as a Community Specialist Practioner in North Yorkshire. She is planning to start a Masters in Safeguarding Children in January 2015.
